Fans are very excited after news came out that there will be an announcement made by Capcom about their very popular game "Resident Evil" and that it will be happening on E3 next month. "Resident Evil" has been a long time franchise in the video game world and, with this newest installment, it will mark the 7th game from the "Resident Evil" franchise.
Japanese analyst Serkan Toto was the one to reveal the upcoming announcement about "Resident Evil 7" via his Twitter account. He also revealed that "Resident Evil 7" will be going back to its horror roots in the new game and that Capcom has hired one of the leading video game designers for "Resident Evil 7." The designer for "Resident Evil 7" is none other than Jordan Amaro who has worked on big-name franchises, including 2015's "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain".
Fans have known for a long time that "Resident Evil 7" was in the making and it was no secret that Capcom is giving it their best after a disastrous "Resident Evil 6" release. Numerous game critics have pointed out that "Resident Evil 6" has strayed away from its roots and was met with mix reviews, now Capcom will redeem their name through "Resident Evil 7."
Veteran game producer Masachika Kawata has even agreed to the fans complaint about "Resident Evil 6" straying away from its horror roots. "Since there's been more spinoff titles, I can see how it can be perceived in such a way," Masachika Kawata said in an interview. "And of course I believe that we should produce titles that bring out the horror. I'm thinking about it and also preparing for it."
There are also new spinoff titles of "Resident Evil" coming soon including the shooter spinoff "Umbrella Corps" that will be released this June for PS4 and PC. Capcom also plans to release "Resident Evil 5" and "Resident Evil 6" on PS4 and Xbox One.
