iPhone 4S Bursts Into Flames In Teenager's Pocket (VIDEO)

A few weeks after a report from Ireland said Samsung's latest flagship model - Galaxy S3 - exploded; a CCTV footage has emerged from Finland showing an Apple iPhone 4S going into flames in a teenager's pocket.

The video was posted on YouTube July 2, but the person who uploaded, 'voaa,' claimed that the event had taken place several months ago.

"However, it's unclear if the device in question actually is an iPhone 4S, or if it exploded of its own accord for that matter. But it is clear that the man's pocket was on fire," said Mashable.

The video evidenced 17-year-old Henri Helminen, who was on his way to work, spotting smoke emanating from the iPhone in his pocket. Before any serious injuries occurred, the user threw the iPhone on the ground.
Still, it has to be confirmed how the phone started burning on its own. In theory, lithium batteries can undergo leakage or breakage and could catch fire because of many reasons. However, it is very rare to find such incidents on other devices.

On the contrary, tech gadgets are also becoming more powerful day by day and, therefore, hotter. The new iPad runs 13 degrees warmer than its predecessor although that is not hot enough to ignite fire.
