Rock And Roll This May With The Latest Payday 2 DLC 'The Alesso Heist', A Concert Themed Robbery

Starbreeze Studios, the developers behind co-op heist title Payday 2, have announced the details of the game's 21st DLC pack.

Titled 'The Alesso Heist', the elite crew of Payday 2 will find themselves having to knock over a concert. The DJ and music producer Alesso will be providing not only the backdrop and reason why his concert has to be held up, but also a new track titled 'PAYDAY', as well as making an in-game appearance as himself.

Alesso produced that earworm Heroes (we could be) that is still on the charts, I'm sure. And if listening to that over and over doesn't make you want to knock something over, then I applaud your patience.

"I'm a huge gaming fan. Starbreeze asked me to do my own piece of the game and appear in the game itself and it was an immediate yes from me. PAYDAY was created with the animation and my live shows in mind, both of which feature in the game. a sort of animation sonic creation. It was a great experience for me and gaming is big for a lot of my fans so it was another great way to put my album into their world." said Alesso in an official press release.

In addition to Alesso's beats providing a thunderous and catchy backdrop to the criminal proceedings, players will have a bunch of new toys to play around with, including a new ranged weapon and four new masks, designed by Alesso himself.

"Collaborating with Alesso brings our bank robbing game Payday 2 to the music scene. Having Alesso on board for the heist as well as him making a PAYDAY track is awesome. His unique style of music fits Payday 2 perfectly and the song turned out great. We love how the heist looks and we're eager to hear what all the Payday 2 heisters think!" said Almir Listo, Global Brand Director, Starbreeze AB.

The Alesso Heist hits Steam next month.
