Looks like PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has three more characters in the pipeline. The inclusion of Drake, Snake and Cole McGrath has been confirmed by Eric Ladin, the voice actor for Cole MacGrath in a recent twitter post.
"This is a great cast, Glad to be a part of it along with @DavidBHayter & @nolan_north #all-stars #playstation #BattleRoyale," as tweeted by Eric Ladin and as reported in IGN.
Ladin's tweet mentioned David Hayter who voiced Solid Snake and Big Boss in the Metal Gear Solid series and Nolan North voiced Uncharted's Nathan Drake. For the upcoming All-Stars Battle Royale, Drake and Snake are characters which seem definite for the series.
The Internet Movie Database, IMDb, page has also revealed the list of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale characters line-up which includes David Hayter as Snake, Eric Ladin as voice actor for Cole MacGrath, Jerry Lambert as Kevin Butler, Kevin Miller as Voice for Sly Cooper and Nolan North as Voice for Nathan Drake.
When PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale was revealed, the developers did not announce a Vita version of the game. However, to the delight of fans, Game Director Omar Kendall did not rule out completely the game's probability for a PlayStation Vita version during an interview with Digital Trends.
"Maybe... Stay tuned," said Kendall.
Ever since the launch of Super Smash Bros on Nintendo 64, fans have been craving for a fighting title with Playstation All Stars.
"This latest tidbit of information is certainly exciting for those looking forward to an alternative to Nintendo's popular title, and it's not too difficult to believe that a cross-platform launch could be in the works - earlier today it was announced that Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time will be released in PS Vita and PS3 flavors when it lands later this year and the cross-platform functionality already works with Wipeout 2048," reports GameRant.
Many considered All Stars Battle Royale a carbon copy to Nintendo's Smash Bros as PlayStation gathered its most popular characters and pits them in a four player brawling melee. Basic controls such as jump and attack combined with the directional pad will conjure special moves and attacks.
Past All Stars Battle Royale trailers shows off characters such as PaRappa the Rapper using his Master Onion martial art skills against Sweet Tooth's gigantic Robot. Kratos utilizes his flashy slash attacks while Radec fires long range artillery.
Sony showcased several levels that were designed from games such as Ratchet & Clank, Jak and Daxter, Little Big Planet, and Gods of War. Characters do battle in the interactive maps where characters from various games will make random cameos in the background.
Fans will have to wait for the E3 video game expo for more information about the upcoming brawler along with confirmed fighters.
