Good news for fans of the Merc with a Mouth. Ryan Reynolds and Fox are close to signing off on a deal for the Deadpool movie, Deadline reports. If this takes place, it will be the second time that the actor has taken up the role. Renyolds has posted photos on Twitter of Deadpool, which is a good sign that this is going to happen.

The character originally showed up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I'm hoping that this new film shows a version of Wade Wilson that can A: Actually talk and B: Pretends that X-Men Origins: Wolverine never happened.
Deadpool aka Merc with a Mouth aka Wade Wilson is a highly trained, totally insane killing machine with maybe a heart of gold? He's got terminal cancer but his government installed healing factor keeps him alive, albeit sort of really gross looking under the mask. It didn't cure the cancer, it just keeps it from killing him, which is a nice bonus. He's known for breaking the fourth wall constantly in his comics.

When the character first showed up in the MCU, they gagged him by literally taking away his mouth which left fans dissappointed because the best part of his whole existence is his wisecracking attitude and epic one-liners. Hopefully, they've retconned that whole affair.
Originally the Deadpool film was tentivally set to release in February of 2016. Tim Miller is listed as director of the film and he has been working on the film for quite some time so hopefully, it's more what we love about the character and less weird blade hands and 90s eye makeup.Check out what Deadpool could be in the leaked test footage below.
