The Pokemon Company has released a new trailer and a slew of additional details for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Super Smash Bros Characters Leaked From Early Copies Sold In Japan
Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza has been announced for the title, as expected, and more information has been provided on three mega evolutions. The developers also announced that a demo version of the games will be coming, which will let you transfer some content (including a mega evolved Pokemon) into the full game and require a special access to code to play. Details on the demo's release will be announced at a later date.
The mega evolutions detailed in a press release from The Pokemon Company include Mega Sharpedo, Mega Camerupt, and Mega Gallade. Team Magma leader Maxie will deploy Camerupt while wearing the Mega Glasses needed for it to mega evolve. Team Aqua leader Archie will use a similar tactic with Dark and Water type Sharpedo, wearing the Mega Anchor needed to evolve it. Mega Sharpedo gains the Strong Jaw ability (which raises the power of bit attacks), while Mega Camerupt gains Sheer Force (an ability that raises the power of all attacking moves that have an additional effect).
Our Brief Guide For Jumping Into Bungie's New Shooter Destiny
Those who played the original Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire will remember Wally, the timid trainer you meet who grows to become strong alongside his Ralts. Once it evolves into Gallade in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Wally can further transform it into Mega Gallade. It gains the ability Inner Focus, which prevents it from flinching during battle.
The developers also revealed some more information about legendary Pokemon Mega Groudon and Mega Kyogre. Mega Groudon will boast the Desolate Land Ability, which changes the weather condition to extremely harsh sunlight and makes opponents unable to change the weather. It also has the unique move Precipice Blades, which can hit multiple enemies at once. Mega Kyogre has the Primordial Sea ability, which changes the weather condition to an oppressive heavy rain and has the same cancelling effect as Desolate Land. Its unique special move, Origin Pulse, can also damage multiple opponents.
Watch the trailer below for a look at these abilities, as well as the debut of Rayquaza and the above Mega Evolutions. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire launch for 3DS on November 21.
