'Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis' x 'Final Fantasy 6' Crossover: Release Date, New Content, and More

Mobile game Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is getting a crossover event with Final Fantasy VI. It introduces a variety of new content.

Developer Applibot Inc. is bringing new outfits for several characters. These include Aerith and Cloud as well as Tifa and more. The studio revealed a few details about the upcoming crossover. These include when it would be coming.

Release Date

The release date for the Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis x Final Fantasy VI crossover is Oct. 30, 2024, for iOS and Android devices as well as PC. It introduces a variety of content from the latter coming to the former, according to IGN.

Announcement Trailer

The announcement trailer that Square Enix shared for the crossover event showcased some of the new outfits that fans can expect to see come to Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. Aerith will get Terra's Garb, Cloud will get Locke's Outfit, and Tifa will get Sabin's Style.

There are also other outfits that were teased, including Angeal as Cyan, and Kefka was also featured in the trailer, NoisyPixel said.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a mobile game that compiles several titles. These include Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, Before Crisis, and Advent Children. It features gacha mechanics that let players get different outfits for their characters.

The mobile game also provides new dialogue and scenes that are based on light novels written by Kazushige Nojima. One example of this is content that was taken from Traces of Two Pasts. This explores Tifa's backstory along with her encounter with Avalanche.

Previous Crossover

The latest crossover event comes after Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis introduced content in celebration of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's launch. The event was held earlier this year and allowed players to participate in a new campaign that was inspired by the sequel remake.

There was also a Rebirth-themed banner draw that featured Guide Uniform, which is an exclusive piece of gear for Tifa. It also had new Red XIII gear that was known as The Hellhound, according to Game Rant.

The campaign that was introduced with that crossover focused on Cloud and Sephiroth. It offered a unique perspective on some of the events that happened across Final Fantasy VII. it showed off a series of videos featuring the two characters advancing toward Mt. Nibel.

The event had some time-limited rewards such as in-game currency and other goodies that players were able to get. These include 1,000 Blue Crystals and free Final Fantasy VII Rebirth-themed x10 Weapon Draws.
