However, at least one copy of the collector's grade art books seems to have found its way to the public. And now, the owner of the copy has trawled through it to pick out several key details about the new Warhammer 40K game.

It is worth noting that the content found in the art book is mostly conceptual or might be subject to change when the title is actually released. Normally, art books have early sketches and concepts of various characters, locations, and weapons.

But the one for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 seems to have revealed some other crucial information about the game. These include a new multiplayer (PvP) mode that features Marine vs. Marine combat as the art book details character classes, according to Insider Gaming.

It seems that players will also be able to customize their banner and clan in the new PvP mode found within the game. It could also feature a base of operations where you can go when you want to upgrade your main character and select your next mission.

The art book also revealed all of the enemies, points of interest, and boss characters (Chaos Marines and Tyrandis) that are found within the game. Additionally, it also showed weapons, vehicles, and other objects in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2.

On top of all of these, there are also expectations that the game, at launch, will feature a detailed PvE mode for a massive single-player experience. Users have also started to theorize, based on the contents of the art book, about how the game itself will unfold.

A Variety of Content Reveals

The art cover leak comes as Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 follows the continuing adventures of the original series protagonist Ultramarines Space Marine Lieutenant Titus. It was originally scheduled to release in the winter of last year, said Eurogamer.

However, the game's publisher, Focus Entertainment, announced a delay as part of an "update on execution of the line-up and partnerships" back in November last year. The September 2024 release will include PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The sequel also aims to build upon the foundations of the original game by adding various features, including a three-player co-op campaign mode. Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is also going all-out on making epic battle sequences using special tech from titles such as World War Z.

The inclusion of a PvP mode to the game will most likely be an exciting and welcome addition for fans of the franchise. The recent artbook leak also comes as there have been very few reveals from the developers of the game since its release date was announced in December 2023, according to GameRant.
