Apex Legends Season 21 Trailer Drops: Alter, Solos, and More Revealed

Apex Legends fans received an exciting sneak peek into Season 21, titled Upheaval, with the release of a thrilling trailer this past week. Scheduled to launch on May 7, the trailer showcases several new additions, including the introduction of Alter, the game's latest character.

Meet Alter: The Newest Addition

Alter, described as the game's first evil character in years, makes a sinister entrance in the trailer. With a penchant for chaos, Alter exudes a menacing aura, demonstrated through her wicked demeanor and abilities showcased in the video.

Among her arsenal of skills are Gift from the Rift, enabling her to retrieve items from deathboxes at a distance, Void Damage, allowing her to create portals through walls and floors, and her ultimate ability, Void Nexus, granting her team members the ability to traverse through one-way portals. These abilities promise dynamic gameplay, offering opportunities for strategic escapes and ambushes.

Solos Takeover Returns

In addition to Alter's debut, Season 21 brings back the popular Solos mode in Solos Takeover. Players can engage in intense battles on an Outlands map equipped with pre-kitted weapons and attachments. Auto-heal and Second Chance mechanics enhance the solo experience, providing players with additional survivability in the fray. Solos Takeover will replace duos mode at the start of the season until June 24, offering solo players a chance to showcase their skills.

Map Update

The Upheaval update also includes significant changes to the Broken Moon map, transporting it into outer space and introducing new points of interest for players to explore and conquer. The map's center has been condensed, creating intense battlegrounds, while adjustments to sightlines and cover enhance gameplay dynamics in scattered areas.
