Zenless Zone Zero Leak: App Store Lists July 3 as Potential Launch Date

Zenless Zone Zero, the upcoming game by the creators of Genshin Impact, HoYoverse, is an urban role-playing title and its release date may have just been leaked.

In the Apple App Store, the game's page shows July 3, 2024, as the launch date of the anime-inspired third-person action RPG. This comes as the developer has not yet officially announced or confirmed an actual release date for Zenless Zone Zero.

And so far, it is only the game's Apple App Store page that has the July 3, 2024, release date. However, the storefront does have the expected text that says, "This content may change without notice, and the final product may be different."

Zenless Zone Zero's leaked release date may hold some truth to it. This is considering that it comes a few weeks after the free-to-play game's official PlayStation 5 technical test sign-up announcement, according to IGN.

Before the game's test sign-ups, which ended on Apr. 17, 2024, HoYoverse invited some players to Amplifying Tests for both PC and mobile platforms. With all of these into consideration, it would be fair to assume that the game's PlayStation 5 technical test serves as Zenless Zone Zero's final test before the official launch.

The game was first revealed in May 2022 and lets players take control of mercenaries for hire named Proxies. They are tasked with defending the last vestiges of the post-apocalyptic world of New Eridu from monsters known as Hollows.

Zenless Zone Zero will be available on Android, PlayStation 5, and PC when it releases in full. A few days ago, the game's third Amplifying Test was underway. It lets players run around New Eridu ahead of the release.

While many players signed up for the beta test of the game, only a few were selected to actually take part as HoYoverse was very selective. Those who were chosen got an email notifying them that they could enter the world of New Eridu ahead of the release, said PCGamesN.

A Post-Apocalyptic World

As players take control of Proxies in Zenless Zone Zero, they will have to work together with other Agents to discover the mysteries surrounding the horrifying Hollows. The game combines a distinct art style, dynamic music, and engaging urban life gameplay.

Zenless Zone Zero also delivers intense action-packed combat that was designed to captivate both newcomers and veterans alike. The game is the eighth title that HoYoverse has developed, which includes popular hits like Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, and Honkai Star Rail, according to OneEsports.

Previously, HoYoverse also revealed the gameplay details for Alexandrina Sebastiane, or RIna, who is one of the playable characters in Zenless Zone Zero. She is a member of Victoria Housekeeping Co.

Rina is an Electric character who can act as a support unit that provides buffs and fights using two dolls named Drusilla and Anastella. While she can technically support anyone, she is best used with other Electric Agents or Victoria Housekeeping Co. characters.

This is because she has the ability to increase the duration of their Shock effect and when enemies are Shocked, everyone's Electric DMG is increased.
