Pokemon Go's World of Wonders Taken Over Event Draws Criticism for Inadequate Rewards

The ongoing World of Wonders Taken Over event in Pokemon Go has introduced new challenges and rewards for players, including the opportunity to encounter Shadow Groudon and Shiny Sandile. However, while the event has brought fresh content to the game, certain rewards, particularly those tied to the Team Go Rocket leader battles, have failed to meet players' expectations.

Lackluster Rewards Draw Criticism

In response to the perceived inadequacy of the Team Go Rocket leader rewards, Pokemon Go players have taken to platforms like Reddit to voice their dissatisfaction. One player lamented the absence of highly sought-after Pokemon, stating, "They've gotta be kidding... Not a single Pseudo legendary?"

Another Redditor expressed a desire for more diverse rewards, suggesting, "Gross. I'd honestly have rarer Pokemon or maybe regional Pokemon from the leaders, give everyone a chance to catch 'em all, instead of spending thousands of dollars to fly to Egypt or France."

Calls for Variety and Innovation

Many players echoed the sentiment that the current rewards primarily consist of shadow dragon, ground, and fighting types, which are already obtainable from regular Grunts. There's a clear desire among the community for more variety, with suggestions for rewards spanning different typings such as steel, poison, bug, water, ghost, or grass.

Event Details

The World of Wonders Taken Over event commenced on March 27 and is scheduled to conclude on March 31, 11:59 PM local time. Despite the criticism surrounding certain rewards, players continue to engage with the event and its challenges.
