World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 3
Season of Discovery Phase 3 adds at least six new runes for players to discover for each class. These can be found by engaging in fun new puzzles, quests, and hidden secrets. They will also be given two new gear slots to utilize for helms and bracers to make use of the new runes that can be discovered.
It also brings a new outdoor PvE event known as Nightmare Incursions where players can learn more about the story that ties in between mysterious dream portals and the new Sunken Temple raid dungeon. Within these, players can earn new items and gain a reputation with the Emerald Wardens, according to Blizzard News.
Cross into the Emerald Nightmare through the mysterious new portals located in four locations around the world of WoW; Ashenvale, Duskwood, Hinterlands, and Feralas. More and more content becomes available to players as they continue to progress through the storyline.

When it comes to PvP, the new update also brings an increase in ranks from five to seven as well as new rewards. These include new PvP class sets with 54 items and 18 accessories being available for players to earn. New Blood Moon rewards are also up for grabs and will be found up to level 50 with three new currencies to collect and spend.
The Sunken Temple is the game's first 20-player raid dungeon in Season of Discovery that features eight deadly bosses. The new dungeon's redesigned experience brings to life the story of the increasing tension between the trolls and dragons.
Various New Content and Features
WoW: Season of Discovery Phase 3 also brings Dual Talent Specialization, which is a feature from the Wrath of the Lich King that lets players have two separate talent trees that they can switch between. The new feature will be available for players after they pay 50 gold for each character that they want it on, said GameRant.
Players who are enjoying the 100% experience boost from Season of Discovery Phase 2 will be able to retain that bonus but with an added 50% for leveling to 50 in the new update. This would make leveling in WoW much easier than ever before once the new patch goes live.
The news comes after the number of subscribers for WoW was revealed, which showed that the highly popular MMORPG is still going strong two decades after its initial release. This was supposedly shown during the Game Developers' Conference 2024.
This came in the form of a graph that seemed to show the exact number of current subscribers to WoW. A YouTuber, Bellular Warcraft, explained that with the later-known information that WoW: Legion had 5.8 million subscribers, the current game has roughly 7.2 million subscribers, according to Softonic.
