After weeks of public testing, Title Update 20 for The Division 2 is finally primed for release. This upcoming patch brings substantial changes to the game (dubbed "Project Resolve" by the developers), with the aim of improving the player experience.

Major Changes

One of the most notable adjustments in Title Update 20 is that the costs of upgrading the Expertise Level of gear, weapons, and skills have been substantially reduced.

For example, players only need to spend the following amount to upgrade weapons from Expertise Level 1 all the way to Level 24:

  • Steel: 770

  • Titanium: 1,300

  • Receiver Components: 2,200

  • Field Recon Data: 115

  • SHD Calibration: 42

  • Exotic Material: 42

Players who love the PvP aspect of The Division 2 will be happy to know that Title Update 20 is going to implement diminishing returns as well. Basically, all status effects, including Shock, Ensnare, Bleed, Blind, and Poison will have diminishing returns when used in PvP. This means that the duration of these status effects will get progressively lower until the affected player achieves full immunity for a brief period of time.

New Exotics

Of course, a major patch for The Division 2 will not be complete without new exotics. The Mosquito is a new Exotic Pistol that has a unique effect, where each hit applies a stack of "Mosquito Song" that are shared between all players. At 10 stacks, the affected enemy will target the last player who applied the stack for five seconds. Mosquito Song acts like a taunt of some sort, though, it's a bit more effective in the sense that it lasts a considerable amount of time.

In addition, the "Rugged Gauntlets" is a new exotic gear in The Division 2 that gives players an Iron Grip. This particular talent reduces the recoil penalty when hip-firing guns by 50%.
