Fortnite Leak: Are More 'Naruto' Skins Heading Our Way?

Fortnite is one of the games that is no stranger to leaks. In fact, another Fortnite leak has hit the internet and this time, it is about the game's collaboration with popular anime "Naruto." Should the leak be legitimate, it will be the battle royale game's second collaboration with the anime. 

The leak has claimed that four Naruto skins will be added to the game. Not only that, a potential release date has also been provided.

Fortnite Leak Claims More 'Naruto' Skins are Coming

A new Fortnite leak is claiming that four "Naruto" character skins will be available in the very near future.

According to a report by GameSpot, these characters are Gaara, Hinata, Itachi, and Orichimaru. A similar report by Forbes notes that "the new skins were glimpsed in early ads."

GameSpot adds that a page that is reportedly from an issue of Weekly Shonen Jump also includes the exact date when the skins will be available on Fortnite. Per the report, the exact date is June 24. Advertisements featuring the collaboration have also been spotted in Japan as seen below:

The advertisement refers to the event as "Fortnite x Naruto: Rivals" and likewise mentions the June 24 start date for the collaboration.

The First Fortnite x 'Naruto' Collaboration

Should the leaks be accurate, this is not the first time that Fortnite is collaborating with "Naruto." 

The first four "Naruto" skins hit Fortnite last November when Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, and Naruto himself joined the battle royale game. According to a report by Polygon, the initial "crossover event also includes other cosmetics like a glider, several pickaxes, a few back blings, two different emotes and some loading screens." 

Aside from the cosmetics, a Featured Hub themed after "Naruto" was also created and showed the anime's Hidden Leaf Village. Kakashi was also added as an NPC who gives quests to players.

What is Fortnite? 

Released in 2017, Fortnite is an online video game that features three game modes that share the same gameplay and engine. The first game mode is known as Fortnite Battle Royal, which can accommodate up to 100 players in, as its name suggests, a battle royale game. 

The second game mode is known as Fortnite: Save the World and it is a cooperative tower defense and shooter game mode that has survival gameplay elements. The goal of the four players in this game mode is to defeat zombie-like creatures while protecting certain objects. 

Lastly, there is also the Fortnite Creative game mode that lets players create worlds as well as battle arenas.
