In case you missed it, Nintendo has already been rolling out a lot of music clips on its official YouTube channel that feature Pearl and Marina. The new version adds a song that players will hear during Splatfest Battles and Tricolor Battles. It will play regardless of whether the player has downloaded the DLC.

In regards to Salmon Run, there is a shortened time until players, who are not on the host system for multiplayer, pick up Golden Eggs touched immediately after depositing or throwing another Golden Egg, according to Nintendo Life.

The patch also fixes an issue that players face with the Order Brella Replica's canopy where the ink shown on it relative to the damage that they have taken was less than the Splat Brella and the Sorella Brella.

There was also an issue in Clam Blitz mode where it was possible to swing rollers with shorter interviews than normal when you did not have a clam by alternately swinging the roller and performing the clam-throw action.

In Side Order, there was an issue that sometimes, players who cleared the story and returned to the square would experience a communication error that prevented them from watching to the end of the cutscene.

Splatoon 3's version 7.1.0 update also adds free content for players who will attend the game's SpringFest event. These include new pastel-colored sunglasses and nine new pairs of shoes to wear, said GameRant.

Previous SplatFest Events

The new special-themed equipment works similarly to previous new content added in other DLCs, so players will have to check their SRL New Channels on the Nintendo Switch to claim the new stuff when they are available.

Splatoon 3's new update comes as the game's latest Splatfest is scheduled for Mar. 22, 2024, to Mar. 24, 2024. These events have players choosing one of three teams and then battle it out to see who becomes the victor.

The three teams follow a theme, such as "Which ice cream flavor is your favorite" or "What item would you bring to a desert island." The latest event would have players choosing a team based on "Which instrument would you play?" The options include drums, guitar, and keyboard.

There have been many Splatfests in the game so far, including having players choose between days of the week, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. During that particular event, it was Friday that came out on top, and furthermore, it was the character Frye who was the leader of the team.

In a special Splatoween, the game had a fittingly-themed Splatfest that gave players the option of choosing between zombie, skeleton, and ghost. In the end, it was Team Ghost that swept the board under the leadership of Big Man, according to PocketTactics.
